City Centre Development
Prince George’s downtown is a targeted area for new investment and redevelopment. Commercial, institutional and residential development opportunities are being pursued to achieve the vision of a vibrant centre of business activity, the primary location for cultural and recreational activities,a preferred residential community and a lively destination for visitors to the city. The City of Prince George's commitment to this vision has led to the creation of the Downtown Incentives Program, intended to encourage new residential development, commercial development and façade improvements for buildings in the City Centre. The Program offers incentives for new multi-family, mixed-use, commercial and green development, as well as upgrades to existing developments in downtown Prince George.
