About Us
Initiatives Prince George is a municipally-owned corporation mandated by the City of Prince George to undertake programs and projects designed to grow and diversify the local economy.
Our dynamic marketing programs integrate investment attraction, trade development, tourism promotion and events for Prince George. We also take a proactive role in assisting the completion of major business deals that have strategic value for our community.
Supported by a Board of Directors representing the local private and public sectors, and a team of experienced staff, our expertise includes research, marketing, tourism and transportation.
Our Business, Tourism, Prince George Spirit of BC and Events agencies have a coordinating role in Progress Prince George, Northern Lights Festival and Performing Arts Centre Committee.
Our partners include Downtown Prince George, Prince George Chamber of Commerce, Northern Development Initiative Trust, Western Economic Diversification, Regional District of Fraser-Fort George, Northern BC Tourism and the Province of British Columbia.
